Expressing concern over the gross neglect of the patients suffering from chronic kidney diseases (CKD) in Andhra Pradesh’s Uddanam region in Srikakulam district, Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan met the Professors and researchers from Harvard University in Visakhapatnam.
Pawan Kalyan thanked Harvard team coming to AP for Uddanam kidney victims to conduct a field study and finding a solution to Uddanam.
The tour is being organized by actor-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, and the researchers are expected to meet kidney-disease victims.
He said “the circumstances that drove to highlight Uddanam was ‘Tammudu’ film, After the success of the film, instead of celebrating an event, they thought of diverting the funds to some social issue and they decided to help Nalgonda fluoride victims but local political groups with vested interests did not make it happen which gave me a pain and that pain was the origin for Uddanam”.
Pawan said, “If Uddanam can be politicized, we can blame the previous government’s, present govt and the local politicians. But it doesn’t give us any solution. I want to help the people and not the governments. Some People blame that I go soft with TDP but even if YSRCP is ruling I do the same because I want the issue to be solved by the govt”, said the Janasena president
There are people who fought for regions, caste and no one are there to fight for Humanity. Humanity drove all the intellectuals here to give a solution to Udddanam.
He said, “Don’t politicize this issue, I am not the hero, Many people like Dr.Krishna Murty and Dr. Durga Prasad are the heroes. I just want to be one among the common man. When Intellectuals can invent an atomic bomb, I don’t think so they cannot bring a solution to Uddanam. If needed I will take the support of opposition leader Jagan Mohan Reddy along with CM for the people”.
