According to new rules of film Chamber , The producers have to bear the losses incurred to the distributors as the loss money is huge . It means that Actor Nithiin and his father Sudhakar Reddy should shell out their money to compensate the loss of of Akhil Akkineni’s debut film “Akhil- The power of Jua ” distributors, which is around 20 crore .
According to Trade, The movie theatrical rights for AP was sold for 22 Crore , Karnataka Rights for 4 crore , Overseas Rights for 4 Crore and Tamil & Malayalam rights for 2 crores . A total of 34 crores excluding Nizam were made through theatrical rights . But the returns after release of Akhil film have not even crossed 13 Crore share (worldwide-excluding Nizam) and it might end up making 16 Cr max in full run(excluding Nizam). Note: Nizam area is Nithiin father’s own release and the quoted amount for rights is 13 cr, may be less.
If Nithiin and his father fails to repay the losses of distributors, they would have to face the same situation of famous Telugu producer MS Raju , who refused to pay losses of 7 crore for his flop films Prabhas’s ‘Pournami’ and Siddharth’s ‘Aata’ to remain idle without making films.
