The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and the Indian Army begins relief and rescue operations in rain-affected areas in Hyderabad. They have joined Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) teams in relief works.
Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandra Shekar Rao has instructed GHMC to take the help of Army & NDRF for the relief measures .
The NDRF and Army teams have come to GHMC office to take directions. They plunged into action in worst affected areas in Begumpet, Nizampet, Hakimpet and Alwal, where dozens of colonies remained under water for the fourth consecutive day.
They will provide relief material and medical aid in the slum areas of Alwal. Over 200 apartments in Bhandari Layout in Nizampet remained inundated and the residents are migrating.
