NDMA team visits Tirumala

A four-member National Disaster Management Authority(NDMA) team visited Tirumala and appreciated the strong security apparatus set up by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) for the sake of visiting pilgrims. The team had an hour-long discussions with top brass officials of TTD over the fool proof advanced security mechanisms mulled by TTD to face any sort of threat challenges in the interests of protesting the world renowned temple of Sri Venkateswara as well as the multitude of visiting pilgrims every day.

In a power point presentation, Tirumala Temple Joint Executive Officer KS Srinivasa Raju and Cheif Vigilance and Security Officer (CVSO) GVG Ashok Kumar elaborated to the NDMA team led by retired major General Kaushal about the various hi-tech security mechanisms adopted by TTD including frisking of pilgrims at Alipiri and GNC toll gate, luggage scanners, CCTVs in Vaikuntham Queue Complex and laddu counters
