Congress president Sonia Gandhi, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Indian President Pranab Mukherjee participated the Launch event of National Herald Commemorative Edition.
Sonia Gandhi said, National Herald, is the testimony of those great leaders who rose beyond individual ambitions to project and protect the very soul of this land. While today we find ourselves increasingly divided on the basis of caste & class, religion, and region. Unity, peace & justice is required, not division and conflict where the lights that guided them in thought as well as in action.
President Pranab Mukherjee said, “When mob lynching becomes so high and uncontrollable, we have to pause and reflect, are we vigilant enough? I am not talking of vigilantism, I am talking about are we vigilant enough, proactively to save the basic tenets of our country”, said President.
