Prime Minister Narendra Modi who was on his maiden visit to Telangana to inaugurate a series of programmes, including ‘Mission Bhageeratha’, gave a maiden speech after formation of the state.
Modi addressed public at inauguration of 1st phase of NTPC Super Thermal Power Project in Medak . Modi started his speech in Telugu saying ” సోదర సోదరీమణులారా, తెలంగాణా రాష్ట్రం ఏర్పడిన తర్వాత మొదటిసారి ఇక్కడికి రావడం నాకు చాలా సంతోషంగా ఉంది’ ” .
He said , This is my 1st visit to Telangana. Telangana is just 2 year old state yet it has been able to fulfil the expectations of the people. There was a time when dialogue between the Centre & States was quite tense but now, both work together shoulder to shoulder for development. Co-operative federalism is the only way that can help both States and Centre to progress
He had lot of praised for Telangana CM K.Chandrashekar Rao. He said, CM KCR is very passionate about water; it can produce gold out of soil. In every meeting CM spoke only of Telangana development and water related issues so emotionally. Going by the development and welfare programs initiated, He can confidently say State Govt will fulfill aspirations of people.
He said, Rural India and agriculture sector are the greatest assets of Indian economy. They are trying to give impetus to both to boost growth. One can realise the importance of water when there is no access to it. It is our duty to conserve it , said PM.
Modi hoped that the wishes of Telangana people will be fulfilled after the formation of state . He said that centre is helping the Telangana state in all sectors.
