Naidu predicts early polls

The UPA government would call for early Lok Sabha poll  is the prediction of Senior Bharatiya Janata party (BJP) Leader M Venkaiah Naidu today however Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Manish Tewari rubbished the statement. At a press conference here, he said the Congress party and its allies have been giving indications of early polls and hinted that it may be held in October or November 2013 although they are only due to be held in May 2014. He said ‘the allies were also publicly saying elections may be held any time. Whenever elections are held, the defeat of Congress party is inevitable. Anti-Congress sentiments are strong across the country,’ Mr Naidu said. Mr Tiwari talking to reporters at Gandhi Bhavan here said the UPA government would complete its five-year term as per the mandate given by the people.
