Naidu mum on alliance with TRS

Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader M Venkaiah Naidu today refused to comment on his party having an alliance with the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the next general elections to be held in May 2014. Addressing a press conference here, Mr Naidu said ‘the issue of having alliances with other parties does not arise as there is no election now.’ The BJP would focus on public issues, he said. To a question whether the party would raise the separate Telangana state issue in the budget session of Parliament beginning from February 21, he said ‘we will do so.’ The BJP and the TRS were demanding for a separate statehood and sharing a common platform now, despite having some differences.
