Andhra Pradesh has taken an innovative step to resolve water supply problems of people in the state.
AP Chief minister Chanadrabbau Naidu and Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Nara Lokesh have launched a call center to address water supply related problems.
Naidu launched Jalavani Call Centre to resolve water-supply problems in AP. Citizens can call on 18004251899 to register their queries and report drinking water problems.
Lokesh said that the call center had received 3,294 complaints so far and 707 reports were published in print media. Of them, 453 complaints had been resolved and 254 complaints are in various stages of completion. over 77 per cent of people expressed their satisfaction over the functioning of the call center.
