AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has launched the dream project , a flagship 2-bedroom housing scheme has been launched in the state of Andhra Pradesh with a target to construct 60,000 houses across the state in 13 different districts
On the occasion of 125th birth anniversary of Dr.B R Ambedkar, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister laid foundation stone for the mega housing scheme of the construction of six lakh houses for houseless poor .
Chief Minister garlanded statue of B.R. Ambedkar today in Vijayawada. Later Naidu laid foundation stone for the construction of 10,000 houses at Jakkampudi.
Speaking on this occassion Naidu said, Under NTR Rural housing scheme, 2 BR houses will be constructed in 300 square feet at cost of Rs.2.90 lakh while under NTR Urban housing scheme houses will be constructed at a cost of Rs.5.50 lakh. The govt has fixed a target of 6 Lakh houses to be constructed.
He alalged that the previous Congress government has sanctioned 42 thousand houses but gave funds to only 12 thousand houses.
