Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi to invite him for Krishna Pushkaralu.
Sources say, Naidu had a serious discussion for more than a hour with PM over the recent statemnets made by the Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on the floor of the house of rajya Sabha.
He later spoke to media said, Arun Jaitley’s statement has created confusion among people over special status . The sentiments of the people are high on this issue. Delay in taking a decision will damage the reputation of both BJP and TDP. Credibility is most important in politics.
He said, He has requested the PM to take a decision on special status. He also told the Prime Minister that a special status was assured to Andhra Pradesh after its bifurcation by his predecessor Manmohan Singh and also by the TDP and the BJP during the polls and the promise must be delivered.
He also urged the PM over revenue deficits of the state , Completion of Polavaram by 2018, Help in building a world class capital Amravati. While Modi has assured Naidu that they would take a decision after present parliament session. Naidu hopes that AP will get special status.
