Naidu demands arrest of more Ministers

TDP president and Former Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu today demanded arrest of all the players including MLAs and Ministers involved in corruption during the YSR Regime between 2004-2009. Reacting to the reports on arrest of Minister Mopidevi by the CBI today, he demanded a thorough probe by the CBI and also cancellation of all the GOs and return of the land acquired from farmers. Mr.Naidu said it was not enough that one weaker section Minister was made a scapegoat and others were in the target line due to the greed of one person . While welcoming the Minister’s arrest, CPI Secretary K.Narayana and CPM Secretary BV Raghavulu, in a separate press conference, said doubts arose over the arrest of one Minister. The Other five Cabinet Ministers, who received notices from the Supreme court earlier on issuing of 26 controversial GOs and for their alleged role in helping Kadapa MP YS Jagamohan Reddy amass assets disproportinate assets, should also be arrested. At least, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy should sack them from his cabinet, they demanded. The other Ministers, who received notices from the Apex Court were Dharmana Prasada Rao, Kanna Lakshminarayana, Ponnala Lakshmaiah,Sabitha Indra Reddy and J Geeta Reddy.
