Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu is upset with the budgetary allocations that were made to the state of Andhra Pradesh in the Union Budget 2016.
He said, the allocations in the Union general budget was inadequate and appealed the Centre to support the state until it get level playing status a par with neighbouring states.
He said , Inadequate allocations to national institutions like IIIT, IIIM, Central University will end up as incomplete. He said, The state govt had asked for Rs.2,300 crore for the Polavaram project but got Rs.100 crore.
He appealed the center to grant Special State Status, establish railway zone in State funds to be allocated to Polavaram.
