The ongoing dispute within the ruling Samajwadi Party again reached Delhi after party patron Mulayam Singh Yadav and his brother Shivpal Singh Yadav and their rival group leader Ram Gopal Yadav representing Akhilesh Yadav rushed to the Election Commission in the national capital.
SP is heading for a vertical split as both Mulayam and Akhilesh factions have filed their respective claim on the party and its election symbol before the Election Commission.
But the Samajwadi Party patriarch Mulayam Singh Yadav today said there was no dispute in the party. There is no problem between him and his son Akhilesh Yadav. He said, There is some problem in the party, one person is behind this feud; Sure that issues will be resolved. He also said, Election Commission will decide on the symbol.
On the other hand, the rival group leader Ram Gopal Yadav said, We had come to the Election Commission to urge them to expedite the decision as nominations will start soon.
Meanwhile, Rajya Sabha chairman has received a letter from Mulayam Singh Yadav intimating expulsion of Ramgopal Yadav from SP.
