More than 120 phones were tapped : AP cabinet

yanamalaAndhra Pradesh cabinet met today for a lengthy period to discuss alleged phone-tapping of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu by the Telangana government.

It passed a resolution against phone tapping and would submit the same to the central government. Chandrababu reacted strongly and also discussed the Governor’s powers.

Addressing the media Yanamala Ramakrishnudu said, they would fight legal battle on present issue. AP Government would ask for section-8 implementation as per the AP reorganisation act 2014 as Hyderabad is common capital . Personal liberty and security has become a question for Andhra legislatures.

He said, AP DGP has informed the cabinet that, CM, ministers and officials phones were tapped. DGP and AP Chief secretary will meeting union Home secretary over section-8 . Cabinet has taken the phone tapping as well as CM Naidu’s character assassination by spreading that cases would be slapped by T government. AP cabinet has decided to proceed legally.

This is a serious case against the constitutional spirit, T govt itself claiming that they have tapping the phone and released it. Govt should answer who tapped it ?, how they released it?, Releasing Fabricated tapes is unethical. we have information that More than 120 phones were tapped including minister, MP and official by T government. Tapping without permission is illegal as per article 19 and 21 of constitution.

They have intentionally slapped cases on PC act instead of EC act. AP govt is not going to spare the cruel intentions of T government to damage the reputation of AP CM. He demanded the center to take action against T government for tapping phones. He dare to warn T government that it would face consequences if it continues such act.
