Andhra Pradesh Excise Minister Mopidevi Venkataramana, who were arrested by the CBI in connection with Jagan assets case, has blamed YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for his arrest, today. In his 3-pages resignation letter submitted to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Mr Ramana said I have become a victim of Jaganmohan Reddy’s lust for money. I had not taken any decision on VANPIC on my own. All that I had done was to sincerely follow the orders of our then leader Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy. “I was forced to sign on the GOs files pertaining to VANPIC orders under pressure from the then CM’s special secretary M G V K Bhanu. I didn’t gain anything from the project,” he said. Mopidevi explained at length how he came up in his life from an ordinary fishermen’s family to the level of minister. “I have nothing to hide in my life. I am unnecessarily being made a scapegoat in the case,” he stated in his letter.
