The Central Bureau of Investigation has prosecuted excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana in the Vanpic land deal is now getting ready to arrest him on monday or later as all the proceeding pointing towards him with Nimmagadda Prasad evidence against excise minister Mopidevi Venkata Ramana in the Vanpic land deal.
Vanpic deal was a sub-plot of the Jagan Mohan Reddy illegal assets case — even as it issued summons to him for the second time on Thursday. The CBI questioned Mr Ramana at Dilsukha guest house onn May 21. He was subjected to day-long grilling by the CBI on March 21.
Mr Ramana, minister for investments, ports and infrastructure in the Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy government, issued GOs to allot land to the Vanpic project of Mr Nimmagadda Prasad, who was arrested on Monday. Sources said that the investigation agency had found discrepancies in certain GOs; one of the GO is said to be undated.
