Dressed in a red lehenga-choli replete with golden motifs, British-Indian actress Jiah Khan looked every bit an Indian bride as she walked the ramp for designer Jaya Misra on the first day of India Fashion Street 2012. Even the 10-kg lehenga could not deter her poise. “I have never been Indianised on the ramp. It (bridal wear) was so regal.”
Any plans down south? “I am in talks for a few Tollywood projects. Most of my friends in the industry are from South like RGV and Murgadoss.” Though she has seen many Telugu films and loves them for their “larger-than-life” portrayal, she could only remember the name of Dookudu. “Mahesh Babu is good. He is cute,” her face lights up. “Even Ram Charan. He got married a month back, but that doesn’t matter. Mahesh Babu already has kids,” she chuckled. A while back rumours were in fact doing the rounds of her marriage. “That’s funny, crazy and weird.” But she is certainly waiting for her dream man who should be “like a knight in the shining armour”. This Id, she is alone and will miss her family in London.
