Maharshi happy with Devasthanam

Writer-turned-director Janardhan Maharshi expressed his joy about his film Devasthanam getting a good response from various organisations such as the VHP and the Human Rights Commissions since it delves into human values.

“I have received 200 SMSes appreciating my work. I knew that I was making an experimental film inspired by a novel but the overwhelming response was a pleasant surprise,”says Maharshi.

The film had K. Viswanath, S.P. Balasubramaniam and Amani, playing the lead, which propagates the significance of having a “heart of gold” which could be equated to godliness in human beings. “That’s the core point of our film and it worked,” says the director-producer.
