Andhra Pradesh Lok Ayuktha on Saturday ordered a detailed probe into the alleged land grabbing by Bhikshapathi Yadav, Congress party MLA from Seri Lingampally constituency in Hyderabad.
The Lok Ayuktha was acting on a petition filed by Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Land Protection Committee convenor Kasireddy Bhaskara Reddy. He alleged that the MLA had occupied the tank bed worth crores of rupees near Gopannapally village beside Gachibowli. The Lok Ayuktha ordered that Ranga Reddy Collector submit a comprehensive report with all details in the land grabbing case.
Bhikshapathi Yadav, however, said he had not resorted to grabbing of any government land. He said he had purchased the land much before he had become the MLA. He alleged that Bhaskara Reddy was a litigant and a blackmailer; and was trying to usurp the land.
