Lakhs of people paying tributes to Jayalalithaa

amma-774Former Tamilnadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa, died late on Monday after three months of hospitalization.

Her body kept at the city’s Rajaji Hall where lakhs of people are paying tribute to their beloved “Amma’.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi and political leaders are heading to Chennai to pay homage to the four-time Chief Minister. Venkaiah Naidu paid tributes to the Amma.

The funeral will take place at Chennai’s Marina Beach at 4.30 pm, close to the memorial of her mentor MG Ramachandran or MGR, her former co-star in films.
