KVP private bill rejected in Rajya Sabha

kvpCongress MP KVP Ramachandra Rao introduced a private bill last year to make sure that the NDA government’s declaration of a special package to the state of Andhra Pradesh instead of the special status gets legal sanctity. He said the bill should be legitimized for the three major benefits available to the AP by special status.

The three main advantages
1. Between 2015-20, Central and States ratio should be 90:10 ratio of all Centrally Sponsored Schemes. Provide 90 percent of the funding of the centre to the state at the end of the financial year.

2. Central Government should be grantor for the loans taken from foreign countries for projects undertaken by AP during the period between 2015-2020.

3. Special Incentives and Tax Exemptions for all types of industries that start in AP during five years.

The Rajya Sabha Secretariat examined the bill passed by MP Ramachandra Rao and stated that Under Article 110, this bill will come under the purview of a money bill. so it cannot be introduced in Rajya Sabha.
