KTR warns people not to open Manholes

ktr1Telangana IT and Municpal minister K.T.Rama Rao inspected the status of various nalas and lakes in the city. He examined Nizampet lake , Balkapur Nala and Nala at Chintal Basthi & Pension Office junction.

Later He reviews the situation of areas arising out of torrential rains along with Dy CM Sri Mahmood Ali, Ministers Sri N Narsimha Reddy, T Srinivas Yadav. Sr Officers from GHMC, Police, Metro Water, Electricity Dept were present.

In view of the heavy rainfall alert issued by Met Dept, for the next two days, Schools in GHMC limits will remain closed tomorrow and day after. Emergency road repair works are being done by GHMC staff,More teams would be drafted by GHMC to repair roads, as soon as current spell of rains end.

He warned people not to open manholes to draining rainwater without permission of GHMC. In such case, Criminal cases would be slapped against those who open the manholes. He said, Opening manhole will lead to accidents. He also inspected the restoration work of underground drain near NTR gardens.
