KTR fires Warangal urban collector Amrapali

amarapali-ktrWarangal: Telangana IT and Municipal Minister K.T. Rama Rao arrived in the city on Saturday morning to participate in various development programs in Warangal Urban district.

The local leaders gathered in large numbers and greeted the minister at the helipad set up at the Art and Science College grounds in Hanumakonda.

Collector Amrapali, Municipal Commissioner Kiriti Oja, City Police Commissioner Sudhir Babu, Kuda chairman Marri Yadavreddi, city mayor Nannappuneni Narender, several MLAs and MPs greeted the minister with bouquets.

KTR reportedly fired at Amrapali and Kiriti Oja for poor progress of development works in the district. Earlier KCR announced many developmental works and already sanctioned Rs 300 crores a few months back, but only 50 crores developmental works were taken up.

KTR warned the collector and Municipal commissioner to change the attitude and work sincerely. Amrapali tried to give an explanation but failed to give a satisfactory answer. KTR said poor performance of officials will reflect on them when they go into public for elections.
