Dismissing media reports that the Congress high command would remove Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy after the coming bypolls in the state, Pradesh Congress Committee President Botcha Satyanarayana today alleged that a section of the media was “de-moralising the party cadre.” Talking to reporters here before leaving for by-election campaigning in Emmiganuru constituency, he said such media reports were aimed at de-moralising the Congress cadre.
Mr Reddy would remain the Chief Minister till the 2014 elections, he asserted.
Accusing YSR Congress Party President Jagan Mohan Reddy of imposing the by-elections on the people for his selfish end, he justified the GO banning government advertisements to Jagan’s ‘Sakshi’ newspaper and news channel.
The PCC President said the Central Bureau of Investigation as probing the disproportionate assets case against Jagan Mohan Reddy without fear or favour.
The state government too would take stern action, if directed by the High Court, which is monitoring the investigations, he said. Mr Botcha slammed the YSR Congress leaders for targeting the Congress party and alleged that the party lacked an agenda of their own and trying to claim ownership of welfare schemes being implemented by the ruling party. The people would teach a fitting lesson to YSR Congress candidates in the June 12 byeelections for 18 assembly seat and one parliament seat in the state, he alleged.
