Kesineni Srinivas decides to shut down Travels

kesineniTDP MP Kesineni Srinivas decides to shut down the operation of Kesineni Travels following a tiff with a bureaucrat last month.

The offices of South India’s largest private travel agencies, has shut its offices in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Kesineni is 88 year old travels, it has offices in 13 states and 170 buses running.

Kesineni reportedly felt insulted after AP Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu made him apologise to Transport Commissioner N. Balasubramanyam for misbehaviour. He had heated argument over the alleged illegal operations of travel operators registered in other states.

He alleged Orange Travels are operating in 150 buses in Vijayawada and around 400 buses are operating across the state. Owner of Orange travels, Sunil Reddy, is a ‘benami’ of YSR Congress chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy. He announced he is shutting the business as the AP transport department is allowing the buses which have registered in other states,who were transporting luggage compromising the safety of passengers.

Meanwhile , The employees of Kesineni travel holding dharna’s in front of the offices of the travels, they alleged that they didn’t even receive salaries of previous month. While the travels has returned the ticket money to the customers who have booked earlier.
