KCR wishes to see Telangana as power-surplus state

kcr-delhiTelangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao who is in Delhi held a review meeting on the Thermal Power Plants in the state in which Energy Minister Jagdeesh Reddy, BHEL Chairman Atul Sobti, Genco CMD D Prabhakar Rao, Transco ED Ajay and among others participated.

At a high-level review in New Delhi, CM KCR directed Energy Dept to expeditiously complete thermal projects to make Telangana power-surplus. Hon’ble CM commended public sector units of BHEL, TSGenCo for living up to the challenge of completing Power projects as per schedule.

KCR instructed that the 800 MW thermal power plant being constructed in Yadadri Kothagudem district should be completed at the end of the year. He told 1080 MW Bhadradri Thermal Power Station (BTPS) in Manuguru should also be completed on a fast track and 4000 MW Yadadri Ultra Mega Power project at Damaracharla and the project should be completed within 36 months.
