KCR to wage battle against center for Muslims and STs

KCR said, The State Government will wage a legal battle if the Centre refuses to ensure increased reservation for socially and economically backward among the Muslims and Scheduled Tribes.

He said, TRS will raise the issue in the winter session of Parliament increasing the quota for the two categories to 12 and 10 per cent respectively.

Telangana consists of 90.65%of SC/ST/BC and minorities 9.35% of OC, General,OBC category.Details from Samagra Kutumba survey. Muslims take four per cent quota in educational institutions and government jobs while STs have six per cent reservation.

KCR demanded to included in the 9th Schedule as they did for Tamil Nadu.
