Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has conveyed his greetings to women on the occasion of International Women’s Day.
KCR said, His govt will launch innovative programmes for women and urged women to take the advantage of schemes and programmes. CM has decided to give nominated posts to women who took an active role in the Telangana statehood movement. He had constituted a three-member committee to select women candidates for the posts of Chairpersons of certain corporations and other nominated post.
The state government organised the main function at the imposing Ravindra Bharathi auditorium in the city, where Minister T Nageswara Rao lit the traditional lamp to herald the celebrations. A start-up christened “SWAN” (Smart Women Angels Network) to celebrate the entrepreneurial spirit in women.
