Telangana Chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao is showing special interest on Fisheries , he held a review meeting on the Fisheries and Sheep Rearing wings of Animal Husbandry department.
CM KCR said development of fisheries and sheep rearing will play a major role in revamping the rural economy of Telangana.
The Chief Minister announced a Cabinet Sub Committee under the Chairmanship of Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. The cabinet subcommittee will prepare a comprehensive plan of action on the development of fisheries and Sheep rearing in Telangana.
Earlier during assembly session, KCR said the state government can get an income of about Rs. 5000 crores through the fisheries. The government is planning to set up small fishes production centres to encourage the fisheries. About 28 lakhs small fishes are left in 3939 ponds (after restoration) across the state.
