KCR reacts on HCU incidents

telangana-assemblyChief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao reacting on the recent events in the University of Hyderabad and Osmania University that rocked the Telangana Assembly , amid uproarious scenes today.

KCR said that Telangana State Govt will ensure no more Rohith Vemula like suicides would happen.He will take up the issue of removal of Hyderabad University VC Appa Rao with the Prime Minister.

KCR termed as ‘unfortunate’ the incidents that occurred at the two universities HCU and OU. The death of a student Rohith Vemula at HCU is unfortunate.the government was seriously examining the issue of appointment of vice-chancellors.

KCR said that he had asked police not to obstruct JNU student union leader Kanhiaya Kumar inside UoH and even enable him to express himself in a rally at Sundaraiah Vignana Kendra quoting the freedom of expression in a democracy. KCR said that even the security of UoH wear khaki uniform and Kanhaiya wasn’t allowed inside the UoH campus following the instructions of its VC. the probe would be conducted by senior state government officials, said KCR
