We all know that Outer Ring Road (ORR) is a 158 kilometer, 8-lane ring road expressway encircling the City of Hyderabad, built with a cost of 6696 crores. Now A new regional ring road (RRR) with 330-kilometer length is going to come outside ORR.
Telangana Chief minister K.Chanadra Shekar Rao asked officials to build road network on par with global standards and with an aim to make them accident-free.
At Camp Office today, CM reviewed R&B Dept with Dy CM Sri Mahmood Ali, R&B Minister Sri Nageshwar Rao. CM directed officials to prepare a vision document on the current state of roads network and steps to be taken in the next 10 years.
KCR said, In addition to 2,500 km of national highways sanctioned by Centre, A 330-km regional ring road (RRR) works to be taken up outside the present outer ring road (ORR) at the earliest and complete in two years.
He stressed on the durability of roads and asked the officials to study technology and best practices from Europe and US.
