Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao formally launched Telangana Government’s flagship programmes-sheep distribution scheme at Kondapaka village in Siddipet.
The program is meant for the welfare of the two lakh Yadava community members in Telangana and also handing over sheep units to three of the more than 800 identified beneficiaries from the Kondapaka Mandal.
Addressing the gathering, KCR slammed opposition parties for filing cases against the construction of irrigation projects, he said they have filed five cases in 20 days. He told the people to question the opposition parties.
He said his govt is firm in the completion of projects and with the fear of rejection opposition parties are filing cases. Opposition parties are playing cheap politics but no one can divert his concentration in completing the projects.
KCR said, Under the scheme, 20 sheep and a ram will be given to each beneficiary from the Golla (Yadav) and Kuruma communities at 75 per cent subsidy. Over 650 truckloads of sheep are being imported every day to Telangana. In a time span of two and half years in three lambing processes, the sheep would be over 7 crores in number. Shepherds of Telangana State are going to create Rs. 25 crores of rupees of wealth.
