Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao hoisted the national flag at a colourful ceremony at the historic Golconda Fort.
After paying tributes to martyrs at a memorial at Parade Ground in Secunderabad, KCR left to Golconda , He took guard of honour by a police contingent. Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma, Director General of Police Anurag Sharma and other top official attended the event.
He addressed the gathering, highlighting the achievements of his government during last two years. CM presented ‘Haritha Mithra’ Awards to officials for meritorious contribution towards the success of Haritha Haram.
CM KCR laid a wreath and paid floral tributes at the Army War Memorial in Secunderabad on 70th Independence Day. He also hoisted the national flag at camp office on the occasion of India’s 70th Independence Day.
The Independence Day was also celebrated with gaiety in the nine other districts of Telangana, Home Minister N. Narasimha Reddy unfurled the national flag at Telangana Bhavan.State ministers unfurled the national flag in districts.
