KCR hikes salary for Home Guards

KCR has hiked the salaries of Home Guards from 12k to 20k and also a regular hike of 1k annually. The huike will reflect from January. It is likely to benefit over 18,491 home guards of the state.

Apart the new salary range of the Home Guards that will come into effect from January 1, 2018. He also announced maternity leave for women home guards on a par with women constables for 6 months.

Since Home guards cannot be recruited directly as constables, he has asked the police department to ease the qualifying process for them and also give reservation of 25% while recruiting constables.
