Chief Minister K.Chandrashekar Rao is planning to give pensions to former Sarpanch, MPTC and ZPTC and who worked as counselors in the towns.
The govt is in view that All of them from low-income groups. In addition, they have participated in the Telangana movement. Many of them are faced with financial difficulties and can not afford another job.
As of now, It is estimated that up to 50,000 representatives are eligible for pensions. They also made a demand for pensions. Dr. MF Gopinath, the leader of the People’s Telangana, demanded pension on behalf of them.
Gopinath Pension argument is that 90 percent of the ministers, MPs, MLAs, and MLAs who have worked so far belong to the rich class. Only 10 percent of them are poor. This is the complete contrast in case of the public representatives working in local organizations.
Over 90% of the working as the village sarpanches, MPTC, ZPTC, and MPPs are from poor families. Only 10 percent belong to the rich class. That is why they are fighting to give a pension to the local public representatives.
Chief Minister has the opportunity to express his generosity towards local public representatives. The government has plans to give a pension of 4000 to 5000 monthly.
