Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao called on hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Delhi today. Supporting the union government’s move of demonetizing the Rs.500 and Rs.1000 notes, KCR reprised the situation in the state after banning the notes.
KCR categorically stated that Efforts to curb corruption, black money should not cause suffering to small traders, wage-earners in unorganized sector and the common man.Traders, businessmen, others in the unorganized sector with less than 2.5 L money be given a one-time exemption to disclose the income. Union Govt should defer payments due from States on the loans taken as there’s a drop in revenues post-demonetisation. He also urged the PM to fill the deficits caused due to demonetization.
K Chandrasekhar Rao would meet union power minister Piyush Goel tomorrow. He will discuss with the union minister about the financial assistance to be given to Telangana by the Central power department.
