Telangana Chief Minister K.Chandra Shekar Rao directs the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) to firmly deal with illegal constructions and resort to the demolition of structures in Hyderabad .
KCR held a high-level review meeting at Secretariat to discuss the situation post heavy rains and floods in the State.
The meeting was attended by Dy CM Sri Mahmood Ali, Ministers K.T.Rama Rao, Narasimha Reddy, Srinivas Yadav, Sri Padma Rao, GHMC Mayor Sri Rammohan, CS Rajiv Sharma, DGP Anurag Sharma, and Senior officials from all the Depts of the State Govt took part in the review meeting.
KCR later at Secretariat addressing the media personnel said, the State government will demolish all the illegal structures in the city abutting Nalas and low-lying areas. Govt will be allotting 2-bed room houses to those living on Nalas .
The present situation in Hyderabad has arisen as a result of previous governments, alleged KCR . The present opposition party members have not designed the city properly that attributed the present situation in the twin cities.
He said The rains are filling almost all the projects and lakes in the state. Out of 46k lakes about 25k lakes are full. There will be no water problem for next two years. Hyderabad has received 462 mm of rain in September against an average of 84 mm in the month. Biggest after 1908, says the CM
