Kanche story strats with period around 1930, Hari Babu(Varun Tej) is a decent midlle class boy , who is very much intestined in studying at the same time he has a untrorrable nature against injustice and unlawful thingh going in the society. He falls in love with a rich girl Sita Devi (Pragya Jaiswal). Due to social boundaries (kanche) Sita’s brother Eeshwar(Niketan Dheer) will strongly oppose their love . How Haribabu will tackle the situations? Why he has become a soldier ? … forms the story.
Varun Tej has shown his maturity as an actor, he performed wells in romantic and action sequences. He actually succeeded in showing variation as a lover in two different shades. Heroine Pragya Jaiswal impressed as an actress in the film , she had just two to three performance oriented scenes.
Villain Niketan Dheer has attracted the attention of audience , He has elevated the heroism of Varun by being the strong contender. Avasarala Srinivas played a key role in film , Gollapudi Maruthi Rao and Singeetham Srinivas Rao were good in their roles.
The critically acclaimed Director Krish needs no introduction, Kanche also follows the Krrish earlier film’s format with impressive human emotions . Krish has chosen a very unique script which was not seen on the cinema scope and has successfully executed the same with 100% efforts and hardwork . One more biggest strong point in the film is ” Art”, the Art director Sahi Suresh has done excellent job by recreating the scenes of World War II. Music by Chrumtan butt was a big letdown . Rudhramadevi’s director Gunashekar’s voice over was one more interesting element. Cinematographer has excelled in giving periodic look by capturing the war scenes with minute details .
Kanche is a not regular commercial film , it is a slow paced movie with no commercial elements , The story is predictable and the narration drags . It also misses high emotions . However it is a film which will definitely uplift the starind of Telugu cinema
