There was an outrage from the community who burnt an effigy of Ilaiah and threatened him with dire consequences. They also demanded a ban on the controversial book immediately and legal action against him.
On Monday, Kancha Ilaiah lodged a complaint at the OU Police Station that some people are threatening him to kill him.
He said that he was committed to the comments made in his book, after a research he wrote the book. he said that he had published the facts and made it clear that he had written a piece of literature to educate people on social issues.
In the wake of the murder of a senior journalist, Gauri Lankesh, and other writers, the threat should be taken seriously and demanded security to his life.
