Jr. NTR responds on tax evasion issue

ntr-biopicYoung Tiger Jr. NTR gave an explanation on the allegation of tax evasion after receiving notice from the Union finance ministry.

The hero responded to the news that the IT department had issued notices to him on evasion of Rs 1.10 crore tax. In the wake of the CAG’s objections, IT dept has reportedly issued notices.

Tarak made clear that he had not received any notices, he has not evaded the tax rather he was eligible for tax exemption.

According to him, He has received a remuneration of Rs 7.33 crore for his movie “Nannaku Prematho”. The tax deductible for that amount was Rs 1.10 crore. The tax exemption on the grounds of “export of services” as most of the part of the film was shot in London for which he does not have to pay tax in the country.

The CAG has reportedly claimed that some heroes, including NTR, were not taxed on the basis of this fact. The CAG finds that heroes are not paying taxes for their movies filmed abroad. It has brought this issue to the attention of the Finance Department.

He said, He legal and economic team gave an explanation in writing on this issue, he is a law binding citizen and would pay tax if required.
