Jr.NTR’s latest outing Janatha Garage has done maximum damage to the Mega Heroes , who ruled the Box Office for decades .
Nearly after 15 years, No mega Hero film is in Top 3 list . This is a kind of warning bells to the mega heroes , who needs to change their selections of movies, keep faith on directors , experiment with new kind of scripts and then dictate terms. Pawan Kalyan’s Kushi (2001) was the first Mega Hero film to become a Industry hit , breaking the Nandamuri legacy at Box Office. Balakrishna was ruling the roast with back to back industry hits with Samara Simha Reddy (1999) and Narasimha Naidu (2001). After 2001, Mega Heroes had at least one film in Top 3 till Janatha Garage (2016).
All eyes on Mega movies including Ramcharan’s Dhruva which is a remake of Tamil film Thani Oruvan , cop based serious drama. Next to follow is Chiranjeevi’s comeback film after 8 years “Khaidi No: 150”, which is also a Tamil remake of “Kaththi” and last but not least Pawan Klayan’s “Katama rayudu”, this is also reportedly a remake of Tamil film Veeram.
While NTR fans are enjoying the proud moment , Mega fans are waiting to bounce back.
