The Telangana Election Commission on Tuesday has officially recognised actor-politician Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena as a political party in the state. Jana Sena has applied as political party with no special symbol and the Telangana EC has approved it as political party.
Earlier in November 2014 the Election Commission of India has recognized Jana Sena party as a political party under the section 29A of the Representation of People Act 1951.
Party president Pawan Kalyan had campaigned in support of the TDP-BJP alliance in Andhra Pradesh for the general elections . He played a marginal role in Telangana politics But with this move Pawan Kalyan is likely to first target local body elections in GHMC limits in Telangana and later he may leave his mark in Telangana politics in coming 2019 elections .
