Jaggareddy behind violence in Sangareddy
Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS)MP from Medak, Vijaya Shanti today suspected that Sangareddy MLA Toorpu Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jaggareddy could be behind the communal violence in Sangareddy town in Medak district on March 29 this year. Talking to newspersons after submitting a memorandum to Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy at his Camp Office here, she said the Chief Minister had responded positively to the issue in taking severe action against the perpetrators of violence and book cases against the culprits.
Apart from providing medical assistance to those injured in the violence, she said the Chief Minister had assured her of announcing compensation to those whose shops were destroyed in the communal violence. The Medak MP said she had submitted a memorandum to the Chief Minister appealing for help to the victims of Sangareddy violence and compensation to those whose shops were gutted in the violence. On the night of March 29, communal violence broke out when a youth allegedly posted on Facebook a provocative photograph of a place of worship angering another religious group, resulting in largescale looting and arson with 28 people injured in it and set fire nearly 40 shops besides several vehicles by the mob.
