Jagan’s remand extended

The Principal Special CBI Court at Nampally today extended the judicial remand of YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy till January 17 in the disproportionate assets case registered against him.

Judge U Durga Prasada Rao passed the order after conducting the proceedings through video conference from Chanchalguda Central Jail where the Kadapa MP was lodged. The Judge extended the remand after the CBI said investigation was still under progress. Mr Jagan’s statutory bail petition was rejected by the Andhra Pradesh High Court recently and the court would continue the hearing on his regular bail petition on January 4.

The Judge also extended the remand of Former Karnataka BJP Minister Gali Janardhan Reddy till January 17 in the illegal mining case. The Judge also extended the judicial remand till January 17 of Vanpic developer Nimmagadda Prasad and Bureaucrat Brahmananda Reddy who were also cited as accused in the disproportionate assets case of Mr Jagan.
