Shock to TRS as MIM refused alliance with it for upcoming GHMC elections. Political analysts say that the MIM does not want to turn away its votes to any other political party by announcing pre-poll alliance. The MIM feels that if it enters into pre-poll alliance with TRS, it would result in decrease of its vote bank
Congress vice-president, Rahul ordered Congresss leaders to go all out against MIM. In 2009 elections, MIM fielded 70 candidates and won 43 wards. The percentage of vote was only 14.44. The Congress fielded 150 candidates but won only 52, with voting percentage 28.4. This time MIM is understood to have decided to field more Dalit candidates.
Congress going all out against MIM in GHMC will have consequences as it for first time in 30 years pit Cong,MIM against each other seriously gives advantage to their opposoition But who? TRS or TDP-BJP ?.
While TDP,BJP reached agreement on GHMC elections.TDP wants 105 out of 175 delimited wards based on 2014 performance but Chandrababu willing to compromise.
