Hyderabad’s Law and Order in Governor’s hands

governor-naidu-kcrKey turn in Cash for Vote case, Attorney General Mukul Rohatgi has advised Governor ESL Narasimhan to mediate between two warring chief ministers of Andhra Pradesh Chandrababu Naidu and Telangana Cm K.Chandrashekar Rao.  Governor asked to use special powers under section 8 of AP Reorganisation Act to broker peace between CMs.

The two states police officials have the equal authority & Jurisdiction in Hyderabad and the Governor has the authority to ask them to submit reports. The law and order would be completely under control of the Governor. The Attorney general has clearly stated that Governor can go through the files in regard to Revanth Reddy case without leaving it to Telangana government.

With this, the AP government can establish their police station in Hyderabad , says legal advisors.
