Hyderabad becomes Beggar free Ahead Ivanka Trump visit

Ivanka TrumpHyderabad City Police Commissioner issued a notice imposing a ban on begging at the main road junctions for two months.

Hyderabad City Commissioner of Police M. Mahendar Reddy stated that the notice has been issued taking note of the problems faced by two wheelers and the pedestrians. The beggars also employing small children and handicaps to receive alms.

The order, effective today from 6 a.m. onwards will remain in force for a period of two months, that is, up to 6 a.m. on January 1, 2018. One who violates will be liable to punishment.

Ahead of The Global Entrepreneurship Summit taking place from 28 to 30 November for which Ivanka Trump, US President Donald Trump’s daughter, will be in the city leading the US delegation along with prominent personalities in attendance including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a drive was undertaken to make Hyderabad ‘beggar-free’.
