Hurricane Irma effect : Water sucked out of Tampa Bay

tamba-bayWater surrounding Tampa Bay is very low due to the IRMA storm. Hours before Irma hits, the water is literally being sucked out of Tampa Bay.

Tampa Bay is being pushed out right now, as soon as those winds change that water is going to surge back in

National Weather Service meteorologist Ryan Rogers explained the phenomena as a kind of reverse storm surge. When wind pushes water onto land, we get storm surge. What has happened in Tampa Bay is wind pushing water away from the shore.

when the direction of the winds will change as Irma moves up the Florida peninsula, the water will return back.
