High court withdraws notice to CBN and Ministers in liquor case
The Andhra Pradesh High court has withdrawn notices issued to the TDP president Sri Nara Chandrababu Naidu and other ministers in the liquor syndicate issue following the raids by the ACB on liquor trade.
The high court action came in the back drop of furor in administrative and political circles for involvement of ministers and Opposition leader without submitting any evidence.
It is common knowledge that nearly Rs.15,000 crore had been swindled due to nexus of the excise, police, liquor trade and politicians in the state since 2010 after Kiran Kumar Reddy took over reins of the state.
The Kiran government is rocked by the liquor scam as the raids revealed the direct involvement of the excise minister Mopidevi Venkatararamana and also the Transport Minister cum PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana.
